Speaker Short Bio
After earning my B.S. in biology and chemistry in my home state of New York, my pharmacy journey began at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy, where I earned my Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2022. During my time at UNC, I developed a passion for improving access to care and patient outcomes.
In my pursuit of advanced clinical training, I completed a Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Through this training, I was able to explore my interests in advanced cardiology and endocrinology practices and progressed in my goal to better understand barriers to care, and to begin my journey to aid in overcoming these barriers to provide equitable and just care to all patients.
This invaluable experience exposed me to the complexities of ambulatory care, reinforced my commitment to patient wellness, and refined my clinical expertise, motivating me to continue my clinical training here at UNC Medical Center through the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program.
This specialized training opportunity allows me to further develop my skills and expertise in ambulatory care to ensure that I am well-equipped to advocate for the profession of pharmacy, and for the patients that I am lucky to serve. My educational and clinical background has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the art and science of pharmacy. I am driven by a commitment to adhere to a career of lifelong learning to ensure the optimization of patient care, health outcomes and enhanced patient experience. As I continue to grow in my career, my focus remains on patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and the pursuit of knowledge in the ever-evolving field of pharmacy.
