Ms. Carolyn Allison began her career as a Research Biochemist at the University of Chicago studying RNA and DNA genomes. As a result of her growing interest in Public Health, Ms. Allison earned her Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Care Administration in 1984 from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Ms. Allison currently has over thirty years of health care administrative experience. Her expertise ranges from hospital administration, managed care, and over twenty years of CEO experience managing community health centers/federally qualified health centers (FQHCs).

Ms. Allison is currently the CEO at the Charlotte Community Health Clinic, Inc. (CCHC). The mission of CCHC is to provide effective and efficient primary health care services for low-income underserved and uninsured individuals. Charlotte Community Health Clinic was incorporated in 2001 and currently provides primary care, dental and behavioral health services to all life cycles. Charlotte Community Health Clinic was funded as a community health center in June, 2015. CCHC has four locations, one in north Charlotte, a second in west Charlotte, and two in east Charlotte. CCHC also provides healthcare for the homeless at the Urban Ministry Center. Ms. Allison also provides operational consultation to community health centers in multiple states.

Ms. Allison is the proud recipient of The Network Journal Business Magazine-Top 25 Influential Black Women Award (national search) and is active in local, state, and federal health care coalitions and associations.
