Description

There have been calls in the literature to gather information about the processes involved in PCBH implementation and service delivery using exploratory, mixed methods research. We set out to investigate providers' utilization of integrated care services in two clinics that have implemented PCBH in the last three years. We asked family medicine residents, physicians, and APPs in subsequent annual surveys about the frequency with which they collaborate with BHCs and the factors they consider when deciding to initiate a warm handoff, referral, or consultation with a BHC. CQR-M was used to identify themes from qualitative data.
