Engaging Primary Care Providers in Collaborative Care Model Services
Description

This presentation will focus on ways that behavioral health clinicians and psychiatrists can improve engagement with primary care providers to increase utilization of a Collaborative Care Model program. We will review types of primary care providers and common attitudes towards behavioral health integration including those that facilitate integration and those that pose challenges. The session will also detail strategies to promote engagement through administrative and clinical processes, including practical tips to streamline communication and enhance interprofessional collaboration.
