Name
Bridging Cultures: A Systematic Review of Integrated Behavioral Health for Spanish-Speaking Latinx Communities
Date & Time
Friday, October 17, 2025, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Description

The Spanish-speaking Latinx community is the fastest growing immigrant group in the U.S., creating a significant demand for culturally sensitive healthcare and behavioral health services. However, there are disparities in access and quality of care, especially in behavioral health, with a large portion of the population facing trauma and mental health challenges. Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) is a collaborative approach that combines primary and behavioral health services, offering a holistic, person-centered model that could address these needs. This systematic review aims to explore the real-world implementation of IBH within the Spanish-speaking Latinx population, identifying gaps and advocating for the integration of these services in primary care settings to better support this underserved community.
