Lorreine Wanjau is a Ph.D. student in the Medical Family Therapy program at East Carolina University in North Carolina. She received a master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in the United States International University – Africa in Nairobi, Kenya. Her dissertation area of interest is in supporting family caregivers of adults with intellectual disabilities. She hopes to advocate for more inclusive services for the family caregivers and raise awareness to the existing barriers to accessing support.
