Eliza Filene is a 4th year medical student at UNC-Chapel Hill. She is interested in family medicine, rural health, and behavioral health. She is co-director of the mental health clinic at the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC), UNC's student-run free clinic. Prior to medical school, she worked in Colorado with American Indian and Alaska Native Tribes implementing injury prevention programs. She lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and one-year-old daughter, Ida.
