Speaker Short Bio
Dr. Michele Crisafulli is an Education and Implementation Specialist with the VA Center for Integrated Healthcare (CIH) and has been with VHA since 2012. Prior to joining the team at CIH in May 2022, she spent 5 years as a staff psychologist in primary care mental health integration (PCMHI), serving as Facility Trainer for PCMHI Competency Training and spearheading multiple program development and improvement initiatives. She received her PhD in Human Services Psychology with concentrations in clinical and community/applied social psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and completed her predoctoral internship at the VA Maryland Healthcare System. In addition to integrated care, she also has special interests in women’s health, behavioral health stigma, program development and implementation, substance use disorders, chronic pain, and mindfulness-based interventions.
