Ana J. Bridges, PhD, is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas. She directs the clinical psychology doctoral program at the U of A as well as the Diversity Research and Enhanced Access for Minorities (DREAM) lab. Dr. Bridges’s research focuses on understanding and ameliorating barriers that people face when trying to access care for mental and behavioral health problems. To that end, she has partnered with numerous local agencies including primary care clinics, prisons and jails, and shelters to integrate behavioral health care services, adapting treatment delivery models to work within these settings to maximize the reach of psychological interventions for underserved populations. Dr. Bridges has published over 140 articles and book chapters, one book, and received over $25 million in grant funds. She is the developer and consulting supervisor of two integrated primary care clinics in Northwest Arkansas.
