Mary R. Talen, Ph.D., M.A., M.S., is a licensed psychologist and a consultant for healthcare professionals and residency training programs. She has taught medical residents, and students, family nurse practitioners and doctoral clinical psychology students in behavioral health and multi-professional teamwork for 40 years in 8 healthcare systems. Dr. Talen has focused her research, publications, teaching and clinical practice in systems-based healthcare. Her current areas of interest are in arts and medicine and consultation in primary care. She loves baking bread for her family and friends when they gather in the woods and dunes of Lake Michigan, exploring acorns and bugs through the eyes of her new grandkiddos, and curiously questioning life’s twists and turns.
