Description

This cohort-based course prepares clinicians and behavioral health professionals to successfully transition into healthcare startups, digital health companies, and innovation-driven healthcare organizations while maintaining clinical integrity.

As health technology companies and venture-backed healthcare startups increasingly shape the future of care delivery, clinicians are being invited to contribute their expertise in new roles involving product development, clinical strategy, operations, and organizational leadership. However, the transition from traditional clinical environments—such as academic medical centers, nonprofit organizations, or integrated care practices—into startup or product-driven settings can be challenging.

Clinicians entering these environments often encounter:

  • Faster decision-making cycles and innovation-driven cultures
  • Cross-disciplinary teams that include engineers, product managers, and business leaders
  • Business and product metrics such as KPIs, engagement, retention, and scalability
  • Tensions between clinical ethics, patient-centered care, and growth-oriented business priorities

Without preparation, clinicians may struggle to translate their expertise into language that resonates with non-clinical stakeholders, advocate effectively for clinical quality, or navigate organizational dynamics in startup environments.

This course helps clinicians operate confidently at the intersection of clinical care, product development, and healthcare innovation, equipping them with practical strategies to communicate across disciplines, lead clinical teams, and maintain patient-centered values in growth-driven organizations.
