Our program is designed to prepare psychologists to function effectively in integrated care settings as Behavioral Health Providers. Recognizing that this is an emerging and rapidly developing area of practice, the program also provides psychologists with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to function in integrated care leadership roles including program development/implementation, and expansion of integrated care into specialty health settings beyond primary care. Residents spend one day per week on rotation at a specialty health clinic that fits with the resident's professional interests and career trajectory. Rotation placements are identified in collaboration with incoming residents and have included rotations in heart transplant clinic, oncology, pediatric medical specialty, partial hospitalization eating disorder program, school-based health care, endocrinology, childhood development institute, with many more specialty care programs available. Residents are well-supported by a primary supervisor, associate supervisors, ethics faculty, professional mentor, training director and a training committee in which medical directors and senior leadership are actively involved.
