Implementation of integrated behavioral services (IBH) may have significant impacts on patient care experience, clinical outcomes, and health care provider satisfaction. The heterogeneity of healthcare delivery and financing in the United States has challenged wide-spread adoption of IBH service models that must account for sustainability and/or return on investment to justify startup investment. This session will present lessons from the development of IBH services within a large, academic health system serving as a primer on considering financial outcomes early in the process of implementation.
