Dr. Janette Mance-Khourey joined the Center for Integrated Healthcare in 2023 as an Education and Implementation Specialist in the Implementation, Consultation, and Education (ICE) core. She received her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology in 2012 from the University of Akron. She completed her internship at the Hampton VAMC and a post-doctoral fellowship focused on integrated care at Eastern Virginia Medical School. In 2013, Dr. Mance-Khourey joined the Hampton PCMHI program as a staff psychologist and in 2018, she stepped into the role of Director. As the Director of PCMHI, she oversaw the expansion of PCMHI services to two additional community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) and to a team of 48 staff across five VA sites. In addition, she led the team in growing evidence-based and virtual care service options within the program. By the time of her departure in 2023, the Hampton PCMHI team provided 29 evidence-based virtual groups weekly and 95% of individual clinical care was provided via video. Dr. Mance-Khourey has been heavily involved with the Problem-Solving Training (PST) and PCMHI Competencies Training programs since 2015 and 2017, respectively. She served as the Hampton facility PCMHI Competencies lead trainer as well as a PST Master Trainer and subject matter expert for PST-Moving Forward and PST-Primary Care. Dr. Mance-Khourey’s professional interests include training in integrated care and brief evidence-based interventions, measurement-based care, and incorporating technology into clinical services.
