My name is Michael Medrano, PhD and I'm a clinical psychologist working for Amazon One Medical Seniors. I enjoy providing primary care behavioral health services to seniors helping them to achieve overall wellbeing and holistic health. I have particular interests in the behavioral management of chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cognitive disorders having worked in both inpatient and outpatient integrated hospital settings and specialty clinics. I spent much of my academic training at the University of Arizona investigating the neurophysiological and cognitive impacts of anxiety and mood disorders. In addition to my own clinical and academic interests, I am passionate about teaching others about primary care behavioral health and finding creative ways to reduce barriers to behavioral and physical healthcare.
