Mary Tayloe, LCAS, LCSW has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist since 2020. She is currently a Behavioral Health Consultant at Piedmont Health Services, specializing in substance use disorders. In this role, Mary works primarily with patients receiving Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). Mary provides care coordination for patients in the Office-Based Opioid Treatment program, which includes conducting screenings and clinical assessments, differential diagnosis, troubleshooting barriers to care (ie transportation, financial, insurance issues, mental health), scheduling appointments, ensuring medication access, completing specialty referrals, and providing brief clinical therapeutic interventions. Mary is passionate about harm reduction and volunteers with local harm reduction organizations and participates in community partnerships meetings across multiple counties in North Carolina to advocate for and expand access to mental health and substance use treatment. In her free time, you can find Mary hiking, eating good food, or listening to live music.
