Maria Jesús Arrojo is a Senior Behavioral Health Integration Manager in the Pediatric Physician Organization at Children’s (PPOC), a network of independently owned pediatric practices affiliated with Boston Children’s Hospital across Massachusetts. Maria received a BA in Psychology and MA in Clinical Psychology from the Universidad Complutense (Madrid, Spain) and a Certificate of Advanced General Studies in Marriage & Family Therapy from Springfield College (Springfield, MA). She is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Massachusetts. Maria has worked extensively with diverse and underserved communities throughout Western Massachusetts, providing direct care, training, and supervision to interns and clinicians in a variety of settings and. In her current role, she provides education and guidance to the PPOC practices on the implementation of integrated care in the pediatric medical home. In addition, Maria provides ongoing operational and quality improvement support to the integrated teams, as well as clinical consultation to the network of integrated behavioral health clinicians in the Western part of the State. Her goal is to help the PPOC pediatric practices achieve a seamless integration of medical and behavioral health and contribute to improve access to high quality, evidence-based, equitable behavioral health care for all children.
