Dr. Cyril Appiagyei is a psychiatrist and founder of WOVEN Clinics, specializing in the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM). He developed an early interest in mental healthcare while working at his parents' primary care clinic on the Southside Chicago. During medical school at the University of Minnesota, he gained unique experience working exclusively at a county hospital and serving as class president. His leadership continued as Outpatient Chief Resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he focused on improving patient/provider experiences. During his residency he was also an American Psychiatric Association Leadership Fellow which honed his administrative and policy skills with the hope of improving mental health care.
