Dr. Joseph Tan is a clinical psychologist and the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health for the University of Virginia's Department of Family Medicine. In this role, he oversees the clinical services, educational initiatives, and strategic direction of the department's primary care behavioral health program. Dr. Tan also serves as an Integrated Behavioral Health Technical Advisor to the UVA Physicians Group, guiding the implementation of integrated care models across its primary care network. He contributes to statewide innovation as a member of the Virginia Task Force on Primary Care’s Integrated Behavioral Health Provider Technical Advisory Committee. His work is dedicated to improving access to care through program development, interdisciplinary training, and sustainable clinical redesign.
