Dr. Abigail Burka is Associate Dean of Assessment at Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy, where she also serves as Director of Interprofessional Education. She holds board certifications in pharmacotherapy, critical care, and geriatric pharmacy, and maintains an Associate Clinical Professor appointment at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Burka is a leader in interprofessional education, serving as Co-Director of the Vanderbilt Interprofessional Health Education Consortium (VIPHEC) and past Co-Chair of the Tennessee Interprofessional Practice and Education Consortium. Her scholarly work focuses on collaborative practice models, geriatric care, and innovative interprofessional education strategies. She is passionate about advancing patient-centered care through team-based approaches and addressing social determinants of health in collaborative learning environments.
