Tyson Payne, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and senior behavioral health leader with more than a decade of experience building, leading, and transforming integrated psychology services across primary care, specialty care, assessment, and training programs. As Senior Director of Behavioral Health at Providence, he helps guide a large psychology department of more than 50 licensed psychologists and trainees whose work expands access, improves quality, supports families, and brings whole-person behavioral health care into medical settings. Tyson is passionate for combining strategic thinking, data-informed leadership, clinical depth, and a genuine commitment to the people behind the work— patients, families, caregivers, and teams. His leadership focuses on creating sustainable systems that allow psychologists to do meaningful, evidence-based work while improving care for the communities Providence serves. Outside of work, Tyson enjoys being outdoors, spending time in nature (especially on a mountain bike), and bringing curiosity, energy, and perspective from those experiences into his life and leadership.
