Karen Mandel is the Senior Director, Behavioral & Community Health at Open Door Care Network. Karen joined Open Door in 2010, working first in the Behavioral Health Department. Currently, Karen oversees many of Open Door’s support services including Care Coordination, Wellness, Nutrition, Cancer Services Program, Insurance Enrollment, and Community Education, as well as Open Door’s Behavioral Health Department and School Based Health Centers. Karen’s areas of expertise are personnel, budget and program/grants management along with quality improvement/data analysis, strategic planning and interdisciplinary collaboration. Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Lafayette College in Psychology and Women’s Studies and a Master’s of Social Work from Columbia University and is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of New York.
