Darrell Zaugg D.O. joined the civilian world in 2025 after a US Air Force career in adult psychiatry. His training as a dual-boarded family physician and psychiatrist has positioned him as a bridge between primary care and behavioral health services. His experience has included direct patient care in mild traumatic brain injury, as well as in- and out-patient adult psychiatry, and he is now a psychiatry consultant for CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Central Florida. He is currently expanding integrated care in a full-risk, value-based primary care system where his team is on the cutting edge of healthcare for seniors – expanding on the CoCM model. He has special interest in CMS’ care management services where the impact of integrated behavioral health expertise promises significant gains in improving the lives of millions with complex chronic health conditions.
