Dr Heather Unrue, Staff Psychologist III with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center [CCHMC], has been Integrated into Fairfield Primary Care since 2017. While working in this hospital based, primarily Medicaid, highly diverse clinic, she has collaborated in building the prevention and early intervention service line that continues to grow, aided in hiring of additional psychologists to meet clinic needs, been designated lead psychologist, and received a collaboration award. She continues to spread the integrated model, train medical residence on a more trauma-informed family-centered approach to care, trains on Ethics in Supervision, and is a minor rotation Supervisor in the CCHMC APA accredited internship program with the goal of increasing collaboration between medical and mental health providers to decrease system burdens and improve health maintenance. Finally, she is a dual lead for Project ECHO in Evidenced based treatment for mental health providers and Disruptive Behaviors for Pediatric Providers.
