Jonathan C. Mitchell, PhD is the Director of Behavioral Science and Clinical Psychology Faculty with the Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Family Medicine Residency in St. Petersburg, Florida. He completed advanced training in health psychology, behavioral medicine, and integrated primary care through Brown University and the University of Central Florida, where he also earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Mitchell works closely with medical teams to improve chronic disease self-management, health behavior change, and whole-person care, and he also consults with bariatric and weight management programs. Within Collaborative Family Healthcare Association, he is actively involved in advancing integrated behavioral health through clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, and workforce development as a founding member of the Family Medicine Behaviorist Workgroup. He has published scholarly work and contributed to professional training resources in cognitive-behavioral therapy and behavioral health integration.
