Dwight Walker is a dedicated certified community health worker and certified peer support specialist with the North Carolina Fit Wellness program, based at the UNC REACH enhanced primary care clinic in Raleigh NC. Leveraging his personal experience, Dwight works with individuals who have severe mental illnesses, chronic conditions, and substance use issues. His clients, often returning to their communities after a period of absence, face daily struggles due to their conditions. Dwight provides crucial support, helping them navigate the challenges of reentry and empowering them to improve their lives. Before his career in behavioral health, Dwight was a client himself in the NCFIT program. Now, he is passionate about assisting clients and fostering their personal growth.
