Speaker Short Bio
Jolie Foreman is the Executive Director of Shelby County Cares (SCC), a nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention and strengthening the well-being of farm families and rural communities in Northeast Missouri. Born and raised on a Century Farm in Ray County, Missouri, she developed a deep appreciation for the land, faith, and sense of community that sustain rural life. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Jolie spent 11 years with John Deere as an Accounts Manager working with agricultural producers and ag businesses across the region, and later served eight years as a victim advocate in the prosecutor’s office supporting individuals and families through crisis.

Today, Jolie and her husband farm in Northeast Missouri, where his family continues a farming legacy spanning eight generations, stewarding land that has been in the family since 1876. Drawing on both professional experience and a personal connection to agriculture and suicide loss, Jolie leads Shelby County Cares in building community-based solutions that reduce isolation and expand access to mental health support in rural communities. Her work has received national attention, including being featured in a recent 60 Minutes segment highlighting suicide prevention in agricultural communities.
