Dr. Chelsea Hook Chang is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Department Chair for the Primary & Community Care ISU at UTRGV School of Medicine, where she leads efforts to strengthen academic primary care and transform the health of our region. She is a board certified internal medicine physician and works closely with our Integrated Behavioral Health efforts across multiple primary care clinics. Her academic and professional contributions include grant funded work in medical education, service across UME, GME, and CME, and leadership roles such as President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Physicians. A south Texas native, she is dedicated to advancing community focused care in the Rio Grande Valley, where she practices medicine and raises her family.
