Speaker Short Bio
Dr. Redican has the privilege to serve as Associate Program Director at Lawndale Christian Health Center, Family Medicine Residency Program, where she spearheads much of the program’s didactic curriculum and recruitment. She also leads the curriculum for spiritual care of patients, incorporating those skills into all rotations for the resident. Dr. Redican practices full spectrum family medicine, caring for patients in the clinic and hospital in obstetrics and adult medicine.
Dr. Redican was first drawn to medicine with a dream of working internationally, and has spent a lot of time partnering with organizations in developing areas. After residency in Ventura, California, she continued her training in high risk obstetrical care by completing a Maternal Child Health Fellowship at West Suburban Hospital in Chicago. A shift in trajectory, opened her heart for training up the next generation of medical providers, specifically in urban underserved areas, particularly in the West Side of Chicago, where she lives and serves.
Outside of medicine, you can find Dr. Redican on the dance floor, mentoring youth in her community, tending to her garden, and leading worship at her church.
