Shay-Lee Perez, PsyD, is a Spanish-speaking licensed Clinical Psychologist and the Technical Assistance Manager for the UCSF Center for Advancing Dyadic Care in Pediatrics. With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Perez has worked with young children and their families in various settings, including pediatric primary care and Early Childhood systems. She is committed to ensuring access to culturally responsive and trauma-informed preventive behavioral health care.
Prior to UCSF, Dr. Perez implemented pediatric primary care integrated behavioral health programs in New York City and nationally with ZERO TO THREE. Her work focuses on the impacts of trauma and toxic stress on young children, and her clinical interests include health equity, cross-cultural parenting, spirituality, and building workforce capacity in early childhood.
