Meaghan James is a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) with over 15 years experience working within community mental health systems serving individuals and families experiencing severe and persistent mental illness. Meaghan has worked in a variety of settings including the Department of Mental Health and multiple DMH funded programs as a residential program manager, case manager, and human services care coordinator in Boston and the surrounding area. She has worked as a social worker for in-home care coordinating patient and family needs both medically and mentally across the life spectrum, for a Homeless Coalition in the Greater Boston Area supporting young adults newly in recovery from substances and families managing mental health and environmental stressors, and as a per diem clinician at a Community Crisis Stabilization Unit and Emergency Services Program.

Currently, Meaghan is a Team Leader for the Adult Tricity Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CBHC) in Massachusetts, and is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), and Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicide (CAMS). She has a particular interest in supporting the growth of members of a multidisciplinary team and collaboratively serving marginalized populations in achieving an improved quality of life.
