Making the Case for Measurement

This session introduces the foundations of Measurement-Based Care and explores why measurement has become increasingly important in healthcare.

Participants will review the history and evolution of MBC and examine current drivers such as value-based care, population health management, and health technology advancements.

Discussion will focus on common system-level barriers to implementation and strategies for gaining leadership and team support. Participants will also be introduced to the Collect–Share–Act model, which provides the organizing framework for the course.

Participants will begin exploring how measurement currently occurs in their setting and identify opportunities for improvement.
