I am a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner and have specialized in the care of adult populations experiencing substance abuse and mental health disorders for over 30 years. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings including community mental health centers, general mental health services, residential settings, homeless resource centers, and acute psychiatric hospital recovery. Currently, I am a faculty at the College of Health Solutions in the Doctor of Behavior Health Program to prepare students to work in integrated settings. My doctorial topic was Motivational Interviewing and the training, skills and expertise I have developed have been critical in advancing health in vulnerable populations.
