Mercedes Ingram, PhD, LPC is the Director of Population Health in the Department of Community Initiatives and Population Health at University Health, San Antonio, TX. Dr. Ingram received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Texas at San Antonio, successfully defending her dissertation on the topic of pediatric integrated healthcare services. She advocates for the integration of behavioral health services in primary care, maternal health care, and other specialty health care settings. She focuses her efforts in writing, directing and/or evaluating integrated health care grant programs. Dr. Ingram has been the evaluator for a Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training (BHWET) grant for the past 7 years, helping to promote quality improvement in interprofessional education and integrated healthcare services in the clinical mental health counseling, social work, school counseling, and psychology fields.
