Lisa Zak-Hunter, PhD, LMFT is Director of Behavioral Health/Assistant Professor at St. John’s Family Medicine Residency/University of Minnesota Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Dr. Zak-Hunter is passionate about medical family therapy (MedFT), integrated behavioral healthcare, family-centered care, residency education, provider well-being, and culturally responsive trauma-informed care. She has published, presented, and taught in these areas for over a decade. She is a founder and chair of the Medical Family Therapy Consortium, a national group of MedFT practitioners, academics, and advisors working together to advance the field through self-promotion, training/education, and workforce development.
