Christina M. New, PhD, NCSP (she/her) is a licensed psychologist and senior instructor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. New currently provides clinical services across several specialty clinics – Integrated Transgender Program, IMAGINE LGBT+ Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic, and OB/GYN at UCH. In addition to direct patient care, Dr. New also engages in education and research focused on integrated behavioral health, improving patient experiences of accessing medical and mental health care, as well as improving access to care for the broader LGBT+ community. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Memphis followed by a health psychology postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Psychiatry. While Dr. New currently focuses on adults, she has over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents as a school psychologist and her current practice emphasizes developmental context, learning and education, as well as understanding affirming care across the lifespan.
