Martha Kershaw is the Medical Clinic Director at Hope Medical Clinic (HOPE), an integrated primary care facility that offers free, whole person care to uninsured, at-risk patients in Southeast Michigan. Each year, Dr. Kershaw oversees a volunteer team of 45-50 licensed medical professionals in the delivery of quality medical care to more than 600 patients. Working alongside a small team of licensed healthcare and administrative professionals, HOPE provides primary care, specialty care, labs, basic radiology, and certain medications through HOPE’s onsite Pharmacy and referral network. Dr. Kershaw is uniquely qualified to lead HOPE’s medical team, having practiced medicine in Southeast Michigan for almost 30 years, and worked as a HOPE medical volunteer for almost 14 of those years. She knows our community, respects our patients and demonstrates the critical importance of community relationships and volunteer engagement to HOPE’s long-term sustainability.
