Dr. Smail is the Associate Director for Behavioral Health Training at Lynn Community Health Center. She completed her Psy.D. at William James College, in Newton, MA with a specialization in Latine Mental Health. She has worked at LCHC for almost nine years and focuses her clinical work predominantly on Spanish-speaking immigrant adults struggling with significant trauma histories and experiences of systemic oppression and violence. She received the LCHC 2025 Innovator Award for her work in interdisciplinary training and workforce development. Dr. Smail is a clinical supervisor and runs the health center’s clinical seminar, for multidisciplinary behavioral health students and early career staff that focuses on practical application of clinical theories within a community mental health population. She is fluent in Spanish and passionate about humbly supporting BIPOC students, staff and clients.
