Dr. Denise Chang is a psychiatrist and Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington and works as a psychiatric consultant in the UW Medicine Primary Care clinics working within a Collaborative Care model. She currently serves as the Medical Director of the Behavioral Health Integration Program, the University of Washington’s Collaborative Care program. Her faculty appointment also involves work with the Integrated Care Training Program, assisting in training psychiatrists and other health care providers in topics related to Integrated Care. Dr. Chang also has substantial experience in quality improvement and more recently has also been involved with research related to improving depression and suicide care within the primary care setting as well as within the larger healthcare system.
