Nic Schmoyer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). At PCOM he teaches core and elective coursework for the Mental Health Counseling M.S. program, serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Integrated Primary Care, and is a part of the Interprofessional Education Program leadership team. Nic's clinical interests are in Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH), behavioral medicine and interprofessional collaboration in specialty mental health settings, and medical trauma. His scholarly interests are in integrated care and integrated primary care education and supervision, the recognition and treatment of medical trauma, and the training of behavioral health providers for targeted treatment and behavioral medicine.
