- There are 5 missions along mission trail, which has been developed into a hike and bike trail now and is pretty nice. One mission that is still a working church (cared for by the National Park Service) is on Roosevelt, not that far away from downtown and it’s an experience of the real history of SA.
- Day Trips - If people want to do a day trip, there are lots of cute small towns in the Hill Country, so an hour or hour and a half away including Fredericksburg, Wimberley, Gruene.
